Description
WiiM Pro Plus — a practical guide
WiiM Pro Plus is worth considering when the RCA connection will be your main route into an amplifier or powered speakers. The upgraded AKM conversion stage and supplied remote distinguish it from Pro, while optical and coaxial outputs leave room for a separate DAC later.
AudioGuru buying advice
Start with the way you actually listen. For a stereo amplifier with a spare line input, Pro Plus keeps the setup straightforward. For an external-DAC system, compare Pro before paying for analogue features you may not use. For a TV and turntable sharing one control hub, Ultra offers a different set of inputs.
Connections and setup
Use RCA for the built-in DAC or optical/coaxial for a compatible external DAC. Set output volume appropriately for the next device and avoid feeding a fixed-level output into power amplification without a safe volume control. Digital bit-perfect playback requires suitable output settings; EQ and volume processing change the signal.
