WiiM Amp — a practical guide
WiiM Amp is a straightforward starting point for a living-room or study stereo. It combines network playback and speaker amplification, so there is less equipment to accommodate. HDMI ARC lets a compatible television share the same speakers used for music.
AudioGuru buying advice
Choose the speakers around your room and listening distance, then check the amplifier match. A compact amplifier is useful in an apartment, but wattage alone does not establish suitability for every floorstanding speaker or large space. Tell AudioGuru the speaker model, room size and how loudly you normally listen.
Connections and setup
Connect passive speakers with correctly terminated speaker cable, add network and mains power, and complete WiiM Home setup. For TV sound, use the ARC-labelled connection and set the TV to stereo PCM. Add a powered subwoofer through the sub output if you want a 2.1 system, then adjust crossover and level.

Can WiiM Amp replace a separate streamer and stereo amplifier?
For a suitable passive-speaker pair, yes. It combines streaming and two-channel amplification. Speaker choice and room size still matter.
Why is there no TV sound on HDMI or optical?
Check the ARC connection and set the TV’s audio output to stereo PCM. This original Amp does not decode Dolby Digital or DTS.
Can I use AirPlay 2 and a subwoofer?
Yes. AirPlay 2 is supported, and the dedicated sub output allows a powered subwoofer with an adjustable crossover. A subwoofer is not included.
Does the displayed MRP include GST?
Yes. The displayed MRP covers one unit and includes GST. Optional accessories, delivery and installation are confirmed separately in your quotation; a GST invoice is provided.
