Set up the GP520 for everyday viewing

The GP520 brings streaming and built-in stereo sound into one compact projector, which makes it a useful starting point for a living-room system. Give it a stable surface, a clear path to the screen and space around its vents. Decide where it will sit before selecting the screen size.

Its fixed optical lens uses a 1.2 throw ratio. A 100-inch, 16:9 picture therefore needs approximately 2.65 metres from lens to screen. Automatic setup can help align the image, but it does not replace optical zoom. Check the final position against BenQ’s calculator, and plan HDMI eARC if you want to add a soundbar or a larger audio system.

Does GP520 need a separate streamer or speaker?

Google TV and two 12 W speakers are built in. An external audio system is optional. For a full home cinema, AudioGuru can help with a compatible eARC or HDMI-based setup.

How much space do I need?

GP520 is convenient when you want to move the projector between suitable indoor positions. It still needs power and the correct throw distance. Share your room plan so we can check screen size, viewing height and any external sound system.

Does the displayed price include GST?

Can I change the GP520 picture size with optical zoom?

The GP520 has a fixed optical lens. Moving it closer to or farther from the screen changes the projected picture size. Digital image adjustments are useful for setup, but they do not add optical zoom; choose the physical position carefully.
