Plan the W4100i around your screen and seating

The W4100i suits a permanent cinema layout where projector placement needs some flexibility. Its optical zoom and two-axis lens shift help align the picture with a fixed screen. Measure the lens position and screen centre before choosing a ceiling mount; the maximum horizontal and vertical adjustments cannot simply be combined.

For a 100-inch, 16:9 picture, the published throw ratio gives a planning distance of about 2.55–3.32 metres from lens to screen. Confirm the final position with BenQ’s calculator and allow space for ventilation and cables. Plan a separate sound system if you want room-filling cinema audio; the built-in speaker is a convenient starting point.
